Job Description

Purpose:       To ensure all the equipment and food required for the function(s) is available to the waiters at the appropriate time.   Essential Functions: Prepare for functions on shift. Set up Breakdown Stations. Assist with Plate up. After function breakdown. Drive box truck to scheduled locations Load and Unload box truck Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the back-of-the-house in accordance with the Department of Health. Qualifications: · Valid Virginia driver's license. · Excellent driving record. · Ability to drive vehicles with automatic and with manual transmissions. · Strong customer service skills. · Ability to understand and speak basic English in order to communicate with guests and co-workers. · Ability to stand for 8 hours, walk and run in a fast pace. · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. · Ability and willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather including rain, snow, wind, and extreme heat. · Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. · Must reside within 50 miles of the hotel. · Must be willing to subject to a drug screen and MVR background check. · Must be able to work weekends   Tools and Equipment: Coffee maker/urn, beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, queen-mary cart, broom, mop, bucket, cart,    Working Environment: Interior of hotel, in all Food and Beverage areas, with exposure to humidity and extreme temperatures. Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.  Exposure to food items and beverages.
