The Media Planning & Activation team within Brand Marketing & Activation (BMA) is responsible for delivering brand media strategy, planning and activation across campaigns, while continuously strengthening media effectiveness, efficiency and capability across the organization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as the team’s focal point for media, audience and platform insights, supporting planning, optimization and investment decisions. Work with agencies and media platforms to understand audience behavior, media trends and platform best practices.
  • Analyze campaign and platform performance to identify key drivers, opportunities and learning across brands and campaigns.
  • Lead campaign reporting and review processes, translating data into actionable recommendations and planning implications. Ensure high standards of reporting quality, process discipline and operational excellence.
  • Support media innovation initiatives through platform evaluation, testing and learning.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, relevant education or professional training related to Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics is considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in media planning, media activation, media insights, platform strategy, marketing analytics or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of China’s digital media ecosystem, including major platforms such as Douyin, Rednote, Tencent, Alibaba, Bilibili or similar environments.
  • Strong curiosity and passion for uncovering insights from data, with the ability to connect analytical findings to marketing and business implications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present insights clearly both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across agencies, platform partners and cross-functional teams.

In addition, the following experiences would be considered as a strong plus:

  • Experience working at a major digital platform, media agency, ISV, marketing technology company or media measurement provider.
  • Experience supporting audience strategy, media effectiveness studies, consumer insights or campaign learning initiatives.
  • Experience working in a matrix or international organization.
