As a Liability Claims Consultant, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional claims experiences by managing a portfolio of liability claims from notification through to finalisation. You’ll work closely with customers, intermediaries and internal stakeholders, applying your technical expertise and judgement to achieve fair and efficient outcomes.


This is a dynamic role where you’ll manage complex liability cases, make informed decisions within delegated authority, and contribute to a high-performing, customer-centric team. This is a permanent full-time role based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth.


What You'll Do

• Manage a portfolio of liability claims from end to end, ensuring timely and effective outcomes
• Assess and apply relevant legislation, policies and internal guidelines to support decision-making
• Communicate with customers, brokers and stakeholders, providing clear updates and guidance throughout the claims journey
• Investigate, interpret and analyse claim information to support effective case management
• Develop and implement action plans to minimise claim duration and costs
• Identify and escalate claims that exceed delegation levels in line with internal processes
• Maintain accurate and compliant records, ensuring all regulatory and internal requirements are met

What You'll Bring

• Experience managing liability claims within the insurance industry preferred
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, compliance obligations and claims processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships
• Proven ability to handle complex cases and make sound decisions under pressure
• A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Liability Claims Consultant at IAG | Renata
