Job Description

At IAG, we’re ready for you. We're the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand. Our family of brands turns the IAG purpose of making your world a safer place into action by helping everyday Aussies and New Zealanders, supporting their ambitions and making insurance accessible.

Take the lead on how SuccessFactors is designed and delivered at IAG as our SuccessFactors Functional Lead. You’ll play a pivotal role shaping our platform, driving design decisions and hands-on outcomes. This is your chance to take ownership of how we design, optimise and evolve our SAP SuccessFactors environment. You’ll act as our internal technical voice, combining hands-on configuration with functional leadership, while partnering closely with vendors to deliver high-quality outcomes.

This role sits within our People Platforms team, supporting core HR systems across Australia and New Zealand. As we strengthen our in-house capability, you’ll play a key role in lifting how we design, build and optimise SuccessFactors—working closely with delivery partners while staying close to the technology.

This is a permanent full-time role based in multiple locations across Aotearoa New Zealand.

  • Perform hands-on configuration and optimisation including workflows, business rules, MDF objects and functional data structures, supporting both project delivery and operations.
  • Partner with payroll, identity, integration and architecture teams to shape and validate functional requirements for integrations and data flows, ensuring effective end-to-end outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and vendor partners to define requirements, lead functional design workshops, and recommend SuccessFactors best practices.
  • Own the functional integrity of solutions, ensuring configuration meets data privacy, role-based permissions (RBP), security and compliance requirements.
  • Lead functional input into testing activities, including system testing, UAT coordination, defect triage and resolution; support cutover activities and post-go-live stabilisation as required.

  • Hands-on configuration capability across workflows, business rules, permissions and core data structures within SuccessFactors.
  • Ability to translate business or HR requirements into practical, fit-for-purpose functional solutions within the platform.
