Assistant Manager, Building Rehabilitation
Job Description
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
To assist private building owners in the execution of rehabilitation projects by effectively addressing stakeholder queries and concerns related to planning and ongoing rehabilitation works
To provide support in formulating and implementing building rehabilitation strategies, including conducting research analysis and studies, compiling statistical data, and preparing management reports on findings and recommendations
To provide assistance in developing and maintaining the building rehabilitation-related database and coordinating with other divisions / government bureaus / departments and stakeholders to ensure timely updates that support smooth project execution and delivery of high-quality outcomes within budget
To carry out special studies on target buildings, providing technical input such as researching supporting information, conducting preliminary condition surveys, advising extent of repair/maintenance works and preparing cost estimates, and compiling management reports on findings and recommendations
Requirements:
Degree in engineering / building surveying / construction profession or related discipline
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
Recognised relevant professional qualification(s) (e.g. MHKIE/ MHKIS/ MHKIA/ MCIOB/ MRICS) with at least 2 years of post-qualification relevant work experience is preferred
Master Degree holder in any of the above disciplines will be an advantage
