This role will partner closely with Corporate Accounting, SEC Reporting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, FinOps, and regional controllership teams to ensure accurate, effective, and efficient accounting and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting experience, US public-company or Global Capabilities/Global Shared Service discipline, analytical mindset, project leadership skills, and the ability to operate effectively across global teams and time zones. This role will be expected to own complex accounting analyses, develop scalable processes, identify risk areas, support audit readiness, and deliver actionable insights through data-driven analytics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Accounting Leadership

  • Support implementation of new accounting standards or policy changes, including impact assessment, system/process changes, controls, and training.
  • Prepare technical accounting summaries for senior management or auditors.
  • Act as a technical accounting escalation point for the Global Capabilities Center supporting the Global Corporate Controllership.

2. Accounting Analytics and Insights

Build and lead accounting analytics capabilities to improve visibility into financial results, close quality, accounting estimates, and risk areas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop analytics to identify unusual trends, anomalies, outliers, unexpected account movements, and potential accounting misstatements.
  • Create dashboards and exception reports for high-risk areas such as reserves, intercompany, AP, AR, and manual journal entries.
  • Partner with FP&A and Operations Finance to analyze accounting drivers behind margin movements, project profitability, supplier cost changes, tariff impacts, and estimate changes.
  • Use data analytics to support month-end close reviews, flux analysis, account reconciliations, journal entry reviews, and audit support.
  • Design repeatable analytics for accounting estimates, including reserves, accruals, warranty exposure, inventory valuation, E&O reserves, contract assets/liabilities, and other judgmental balances.
  • Support predictive and preventive analytics to identify potential accounting issues before period-end close.
  • Translate accounting data into clear insights for controllership.

3. Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Close Support

Support global close execution with a focus on complex accounting areas, close governance, analytics, and issue resolution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, close analytics, and supporting schedules prepared by GCC or regional controllership teams.
  • Ensure close activities are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and SOX controls.
  • Support quarter-end and year-end reporting requirements, including audit support and preparation of schedules for Corporate Accounting and SEC Reporting.
  • Drive root-cause analysis for recurring close issues, post-close adjustments, and late audit inquiries.

  • Support governance forums such as close status meetings, accounting issue reviews, and post-close retrospectives.

4. Financial Reporting and Disclosure Support

Support internal and external reporting processes by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of accounting information.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support SEC Reporting or Corporate Reporting teams with disclosure tie-outs, footnote support, MD&A analytics, and quarterly reporting packages.
  • Assist in preparing clear explanations for significant accounting matters, adjustments, estimates, and unusual transactions.
  • Ensure accounting analyses and supporting documentation are complete, audit-ready, and aligned with reporting timelines.
  • Help standardize reporting templates, account analysis packages, and management review materials.

5. Internal Controls, SOX, and Audit Readiness

Strengthen the control environment by embedding robust controls, documentation standards, and audit-ready practices into GCC accounting processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure accounting processes comply with SOX requirements, company policies, and internal control standards.
  • Design, execute, and improve controls over technical accounting areas, journal entries, reconciliations, estimates, analytics, and reporting support.
  • Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and recurring audit issues; develop remediation plans and monitor progress.
  • Promote proactive issue identification and escalation
  • Build a culture of accountability, transparency, and strong documentation across the GCC controllership team.

  • Help define KPIs and operational metrics for accounting and analytics processes.
  • Promote adoption of AI-enabled and analytics-driven finance practices, while ensuring appropriate governance, controls, and data quality.
