Job vacancies: Internal Auditor Managers
1. Internal Audit Manager – Cyber & IT Controls
The Audit Manager – Cyber & IT Controls leads audit assignments related to IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, system implementations, cloud environments and data governance. The role ensures robust assurance over the effectiveness of IT and cyber controls, and provides technical oversight and leadership to a team of IT auditors.
In this role you will,
- Plan and lead IT and cyber audits aligned with the annual audit plan;
- Ensure audits assess key areas including IT General Controls (ITGCs), cybersecurity posture, access management, third-party risk, disaster recovery, and cloud environments;
- Oversee the execution of audits and review audit deliverables for technical accuracy and quality;
- Manage a team of Senior Internal Auditors and Internal Auditors specialising in IT/Cyber;
- Provide direction and coaching on complex audits, technical risk areas, and emerging threats;
- Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and support certification and upskilling plans (e.g., CISA, CISM);
- Engage with Internal Audit leadership team, Risk SBU, COO and digital transformation teams;
- Collaborate on cross-cutting risks such as cyber-fraud, digital onboarding, or automated controls.
We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field;
- Professional certification required: CISA, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent;
- 6–8 years of IT or cybersecurity audit experience, with 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
AND
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT);
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, applications, and access controls;
- Excellent communication and technical reporting skills;
- Ability to manage technical teams and prioritise high-risk audits;
- Strong ethical foundation, confidentiality, and resilience.
2. Internal Audit Manager – Corporate & Investment
The Audit Manager – Operational Audits is responsible for leading operational audits across the MCB’s core and support functions. The role ensures high-quality delivery of audits that evaluate process efficiency, control effectiveness, compliance, and risk mitigation across business operations.
The Audit Manager supervises a team of auditors and contributes to improving audit practices and departmental maturity.
In this role you will,
- Lead and manage the execution of operational audits and thematic reviews in accordance with the approved audit plan;
- Ensure audits cover key risks across functions such as Credit Management, Trade Finance, Financial Markets, Banking Operations, Procurement and ESG-linked activities;
- Oversee fieldwork, review working papers and ensure timely delivery of draft and final audit reports;
- Manage a team of Senior Internal Auditors and Internal Auditors by providing guidance, coaching, and quality assurance throughout the audit process, while monitoring performance, delivering feedback, and supporting ongoing learning and development;
- Engage with Heads of SBUs and process owners during audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting;
- Support the Senior Internal Audit Manager in reporting to the Audit Committee, where needed;
- Drive continuous improvement in audit programs, risk assessment techniques, and reporting practices;
- Contribute to the refinement of audit planning tools and risk models.
We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field;
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent certification required;
- 6–8 years of internal audit or operational risk experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
AND
- Strong understanding of business operations, financial processes, and internal controls;
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Sound judgement, ethical conduct, and attention to detail;
- Proficiency in audit tools and data analysis (Excel, Power BI, ACL, etc.);
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams.
