RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participates in planning technical projects and selecting appropriate chemical methodologies.
• Supports the design and continuity of chemical tests, measurements, and analyses to meet project objectives.
• Recommends enhancements to laboratory equipment and testing procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Reviews and analyzes technical publications to identify applicable chemical techniques and integrate relevant findings into assigned work.
• Conducts and may lead chemical experiments, tests, and data compilations required for technical projects for MPC and for industry organizations.
• Interprets and correlates experimental data to draw conclusions and inform project direction.
• Actively maintains and expands professional knowledge through ongoing learning and development.
• Provides input to leadership on the development of laboratory management systems.

• Support of laboratory software applications such as SampleManager and QCPlus and integration into labroratory business needs.

Assists in the development and maintenance of Power BI tools for data delviery to MPC stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree with 16 hours of college-level chemistry required. Chemistry Degree preferred.
• Eight (8) years or more of experience. Experience in the refining or petrochemical industry required.
