Senior Core Business Support Engineer II

Summary

The Senior Core Business Support Engineer leads and contributes to product and process change projects across Hollister’s Ostomy Care and Critical Care businesses. Core responsibilities include managing technical transfers, material and process changes, cost‑savings initiatives, and supply security projects. The role applies engineering expertise to develop and validate test plans, support cross‑functional teams, document technical activities, and ensure alignment with quality and regulatory expectations. The position is based in Gurugram and supports both local and international project teams. 

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, analyze test data, and interpret results for product and process changes. 

• Generate innovative design ideas for ostomy and critical care products. 

• Define project plans including timelines, resource estimates, and risk assessments. 

• Identify project challenges proactively and drive issue resolution. 

• Participate in global cross‑functional teams and support timely completion of deliverables. 

• Communicate project outcomes and prepare technical reports and documentation. 

• Update drawings, specifications, and other technical documents. 

• Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain. 

• Support goals and strategies defined by technical management. 

• Solve technical issues using structured problem‑solving methodologies such as DMAIC. 

• Integrate value‑added product features into designs and maintain awareness of technological trends. 

• Support design controls, risk management, and change implementation activities. 

• Contribute to or support technical file and design history documentation. 

• Utilize knowledge of polymer films, bonding technologies, and related product materials (preferred). 

Essential Functions of the Role

  • Communicate effectively via email, phone, and virtual platforms.
  • Travel frequently, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 15 pounds may be required.

Education & Work Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5-8 years of related experience

Education & Work Preferences

• Working knowledge of engineering principles, problem‑solving methods (e.g., DMAIC), and product development processes. 

• Experience creating, reading, and interpreting 2D/3D drawings and technical specifications. 

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. 

• PMP certification preferred. 

• Experience with FDA Quality System Regulations and ISO 13485 environments. 

• Knowledge of design controls, change controls, and risk management for medical devices. 

• Experience with polymer films, bonding technologies, automated assembly, or related manufacturing processes. 

• Experience in Ostomy or Continence Care products is a plus.
