Key Responsibilities:
Working under the directive of Cluster Coordinator (Hospital & Planning & Facility Management) and assisting the Senior Managers, Managers and Assistant Managers and Works Supervisors (Building Works and Facility Management) in the management of day-to-day (DTD) building maintenance, facility management, project management services and providing technical support to Hospitals and General Out-patient Clinics in New Territories East Cluster (NTEC); Major duties are listed hereunder, but not limited to:
Assist in liaison with user departments on maintenance of building & plant, handle enquiries from users regarding local facility management.
Assist in monitoring the operation and performance of contractors in day to day repair and maintenance.
Assist in monitoring and managing local hospital minor improvement works.
Compile statistical data and assist in preparation of various management report (incl. Crystal report, Monthly local HPFM report).
Handle emergencies and other ad hoc incidents in hospital facility aspects which affecting the whole hospital independently.
Assist in supervising a group of technical staff (including artisans, OpAI, OpAII, OpAIII, etc.) and assisting in monitoring performance of contractors and service providers for day-to-day building maintenance.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Assist in providing technical support to building works in relation to the day-to-day building maintenance works, the minor improvement and maintenance projects.
Assist to conduct regular inspections for progress monitoring, standard and quality of materials and workmanship, site safety matters of building works, and report to supervisors for any findings.
Assist in monitoring inventory records of spare parts for plant, equipment and building materials.
Assist in preparing and raising Purchase Requisition in ERP System for purchasing maintenance materials and implementation of repair / maintenance / minor improvement works, etc.
Communicate and coordinate with user departments and service contractors in provision of the daily HPFM operation.
Perform shift and on-call duties, work outside normal office hours as required by supervisor, and attend duties during typhoon, rainstorm and other emergencies.
Conduct handiworks with hand tools as required by supervisor.
Any other duties as assigned by the supervisors and managers.
Entry Requirements:
- (a) 3 years' satisfactory service in the HA; OR
(b) 2 years’ supervisory experience in hospitals, hotels, cleansing service, facilities management or other related services / industries. - Have shown the potential to lead and supervise staff.
Preferred Attributes/Exposure:
- Knowledge in the application of common computer software including Microsoft Office, email and Chinese Word Processing etc.
- Good inter-personal communication and presentation skill.
- Responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently under minimum supervision.
- Outgoing, able to work under pressure and stressful situation, including crises.
- Relevant trade test certificate issued by Construction Industry Council Training Academy (CICTA) or by the Vocational Training Council (VTC) in a relevant trade.
- Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green card).
- Has formal training in occupational safety and health is an advantage.
