Pay
HK$203,551– HK$256,625 (HGPS point 50 – 51B) per month including Monthly Allowance.
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide specialist services.
2. Supervise Residents undergoing specialist training.
3. Undertake administrative work.
4. Undergo continuing medical education and professional development.
Entry Requirements
1. Registered medical practitioner under the Medical Registration Ordinance; and
2. Fellow of Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Emergency Medicine) or equivalent; and
3. Registered in the Specialist Register in the relevant specialty of the Medical Council of Hong Kong
Preferred Attributes/Exposure
1. Staff members in the rank are expected to meet the 4 core competencies set for the Consultant post. They are:
i. Functional competency.
ii. Personal competency.
iii. People and team competency.
iv. Organization effectiveness.
2. Holding the trainer status of the Hong Kong College of Emergency Medicine is preferred.
3. Contribution to professional development including research, teaching and training.
