Salary: | HK$34,070 – HK$39,485 (HGPS point 13 - 16) per month including Monthly Allowance |
| Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. |
Key Responsibilities: | |
The appointee will assist a team of professionals in supervising and managing the execution of minor capital works projects and day-to-day maintenance works. The appointee will be responsible for the following main duties: | |
1. | To handle work requests from end-users on all matters relating to maintenance, renovation and improvement works. |
2. | To liaise with users, work agents, contractors and all external work agents on all matters relating to users’ requirements, access, disturbance, programme etc. for efficient execution of works on site. |
3. | To liaise with end-user and work agent including EMSTF, TMC etc. for project planning and execution. |
4. | To assist in the preparation of documents related to planned and corrective maintenance work, and services provided by in house staff and external contractors on facilities enhancement. |
5. | To check standard of design, materials and workmanship against the user and contract requirements and other recognized standards on works assigned. |
6. | To prepare the inspection and progress reports on minor capital project / day-to-day building maintenance works and other facility management works. |
7. | To supervise and monitor a team of technical staff, consultants and contractors in managing, executing, and reporting progress of minor capital project / maintenance works. |
8. | To assist in preparation of monthly report, incident report and cash flow projection. |
9. | To monitor the program, budget, quality of materials and workmanship of works and report the performance of works agents. |
10. | To assist in the procurement of spare parts for the facilities maintenance, manage and maintain the level of stock and control storage quantity of dangerous goods. |
11. | To provide emergency on-call service and work outside office hours in case of emergencies and when required. |
12. | To update the drawing inventory and CAD drawing files after renovation projects. |
13. | To work according to duty roster, attend emergency calls and perform typhoon/ black rainstorm duties. |
14. | To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisors. |
Entry Requirements: | |
| 1. | (a) A Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent; or |
| (b) 5 years of relevant working experience as skilled worker in the field of Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; or | |
| (c) Completed a recognized Technician Apprenticeship in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. | |
| 2. | At least 3 years’ site supervisory experience subsequent to fulfilling (1) above. |
| 3. | A knowledge of English and Chinese equivalent to Form 3 (before 2012) / Secondary 3 standard. |
| 4. | Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card). |
Preferable Attributes / Exposure: | |
1. | Degree in Engineering / Facilities Management / Construction Management / Building Services Engineering / Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or other construction related disciplines. |
2. | At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the field of consultancy / contracting / facilities management / day-to-day repair & maintenance, and with 3 years of which is at supervisory level. |
3. | Possession of valid Plumber License (Grade I) and / or Register Electrical Worker (Class B or above). |
4. | Experienced in health care projects. |
5. | Good report writing skills and interpersonal skills. |
6. | Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently. |
7. | Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office including both Chinese and English word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. |
