Make your mark in a role where your work helps shape how risk is managed across RACQ Insurance. As an Operational Risk Consultant, you will support teams across the business through a period of meaningful change, helping embed new systems, stronger processes and clearer insights. You will work closely with stakeholders across all areas, balancing day-to-day risk activity with key uplift initiatives including the move to ServiceNow. It is a hands-on role where you will partner, coach and influence, helping teams feel more confident navigating risk in their everyday work. This is a 12-month max-term full-time role based in Meanjin (Brisbane).

What You'll Do

• Support operational risk activities across RACQ Insurance, balancing business as usual work with key integration and uplift initiatives
• Partner with stakeholders across all areas to identify risks, review controls and embed practical, fit for purpose risk practices
• Support the transition to ServiceNow, including data migration, improving data quality and embedding new risk processes and ways of working
• Help develop and enhance reporting and dashboards that provide clearer, more meaningful insights into risk and performance
• Deliver assurance activities such as control testing and risk reviews to strengthen processes and support continuous improvement
• Triage and support the management of incidents and risk events, guiding teams through investigation, resolution and escalation
• Coach and support stakeholders to build confidence and capability in how risk is understood and managed day to day

What You'll Bring

• Experience in risk, compliance or a related role within insurance or financial services
• Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to work with data and support better insights and reporting
• Confidence working with stakeholders across different areas, communicating risk concepts in a clear and practical way
• Experience or interest in system and process uplift, with openness to learning tools like ServiceNow
• Ability to manage competing priorities across both project and BAU work in a fast moving environment
• Understanding of regulatory expectations and how effective risk practices support good business outcomes
