
IT Operations Team Lead – E&P Applications & Data
Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The E&P IT Operations Team Lead (Applications & Data) based in Budapest MOL Campus based in Budapest MOL Campus is responsible for ensuring stable, secure and efficient end‑to‑end IT operations for Exploration & Production business applications and data assets.
The E&P IT Operations Team Lead is primarily accountable for driving and facilitating successful operation of E&P IT portfolio along the agreed KPI’s and delivery of projects or products in a more agile way through necessary activities and administration within the agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality based on strategic directions established by Business and IT.
The role requires management of the E&P IT Operations team (~10-14 employees), active participation and leadership of daily operation and delivering fit for purpose solutions to Business.
Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and mentorship to E&P IT Operations organization for professional development and the in delivering high-quality solutions and perform uninterrupted and efficient operations both for application and data
Provides clear understanding to team members: communicating team goals, deadlines and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.
Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals.
Drive and supervise the E&P IT Application Operation activity
Ensure the availability and performance of E&P IT services and application portfolio.
Oversee the deployment, maintenance and support of E&P IT application portfolio and necessary components (e.g.: infrastructure) and champion best practices, configuration management, and automation.
Own IT SLA based on agreements.
Conduct regular performance/service reviews with business.
Responsible for participant proactively to the audits and manage the lifecycle of audit findings.
Responsible and mange 3rd party vendors and contracts with seeking continuous efficiency improvements, properly manage 3rd party OPEX and contracts
Data Operations & Information Management
Accountable for production data, subsurface, exploration, drilling reporting and integration data operations, including:Data availability, quality, integrity and controlled access, Operational data pipelines, interfaces and data services, GIS map data processing and visualization, Ensure alignment with data governance, security, retention and compliance principles. Cooperate closely with Infrastructure, DAII team, Enterprise Architecture and Delivery teams.
Escalation Management: Handle and provide technical expertise and support for escalated issues. Be the main escalation point in case of daily operational issues, including interacting with customers. Responsible for organizing the daily operation in addition to the development type of tasks, for fostering the continuous improvement of application and software portfolio the issues and lifeline metrics and proactively participant and support the design team’s work. Assess and implement tools for monitoring, logging, and performance analysis and proactively monitor the change/incident and problem management issues.
Drive and supervise the E&P IT Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement (e.g.: infrastructure, cybersecurity, DAII team) new technology solutions and delivery of new developments. Lead and enforce operational and software development procedures and policies.Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance efficiency.
Main requirements:
University or College degree
Proven work experience as team leader or expert in IT operationwith 5+ years.
Ability to develop, implement and assess performance metrics
Client-based service approach
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
Strong analytical and organization skills
Solution seeking, delivery-oriented mindset required.
Adaptability to demanding circumstances that require timely and accurate responses
