Job Description
We are looking for a strategic and results-oriented leader to join our team as a Junior Transport Control Specialist. In this role, you will ensure uninterrupted control of trucks and drivers’ work, overseeing all monitoring functions related to cargo tracking and security. The role plays a critical part in maintaining operational continuity, ensuring safety standards, and supporting overall transport performance.
This position is based in Tbilisi, Georgia, within Girteka Business Services (GBS) - a shared services center established in 2022 to support Girteka Group’s global expansion. By building a strong talent base in Georgia, GBS enhances Girteka’s operational capabilities across Europe and the Nordics. As part of this fast-growing organization, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and strengthening our customer service strategy.
What can you expect your day to look like?

Ensure effective communication: Provide drivers or other relevant personnel with timely updates on important changes during cargo transportation, as per the transport manager’s instructions.

Monitor truck arrivals: Ensure that assigned trucks reach the customer’s specified location on time and accurately estimate their arrival at the destination.

Regulatory knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of driver work and rest time regulations.

Data analysis: Systematize and analyze incoming information regarding truck movement.

Collaboration: Inform commercial or planning colleagues (night shift) about any operational changes.

Driver support: Assist drivers with cargo transportation and related issues.

Logistics coordination: Arrange ferry or train bookings and gather relevant schedule information according to the transport manager’s instructions.

Safety supervision: Monitor and address safety concerns, such as unsafe parking, open trailer doors, or activated alarm systems.

Issue resolution: Handle any challenges related to cargo monitoring.

Seamless workflow: Cooperate with day-shift colleagues for smooth handovers and work transitions.

Language proficiency: Excellent knowledge of English.

Industry experience: Previous experience in logistics is an advantage.

- Base monthly salary: 2350 - 2850 GEL Gross. The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate‘s experience, competencies displayed, and suitability to the requirements of the position.
