Front Desk Associate – Coastal Injury Clinic

Coastal Health is seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Associate to join our busy Coastal Injury Clinic. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service.

Position Summary

The Front Desk Associate is responsible for creating a positive patient experience from arrival to departure. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and plays a key role in maintaining efficient front office operations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner
• Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently
• Verify patient information, insurance details, and required documentation
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries
• Collect copays, balances, and process payments
• Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
• Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as needed
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous front desk, medical office, or customer service experience preferred
• Experience in personal injury, chiropractic, orthopedic, or medical settings is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Basic computer proficiency and EMR experience preferred
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
