Medical Assistant

Coastal Health Primary Care – Jacksonville Beach, FL

Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing Primary Care team at our Jacksonville Beach location. We are looking for a team member who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in helping patients achieve their health goals.

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our providers and ensuring patients receive exceptional care from check-in to check-out.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers during patient visits and minor procedures
• Administer injections, vaccines, and other treatments as directed
• Perform EKGs, specimen collection, and other clinical duties as needed
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Process prescription refill requests and prior authorizations
• Coordinate referrals, laboratory testing, and follow-up care
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a primary care or outpatient medical office preferred
• Knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology
• Strong clinical and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong attention to detail
