Job Description

  • Demonstrate compliance to company code of conduct, ethics, policies & statuary & legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate compliance to Environmental, health & Safety standards in shop floor.
  • Demonstrate compliance to Quality Management systems such as ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, AAR
  • Plan and execute actions to meet the KPI’s pertaining to the new product industrialization.
  • Participate in the ETO process.
  • Work closely with the Project management team to understand the New Product delivery dates and plan the validation/industrialization activities accordingly.
  • Evaluate the manufacturing feasibility of new products.
  • Verify the product related documents given by Engineering center for new products.
  • Validate multi cavity molds. Validate the critical to quality process parameters for new parts during mold validation and document the same.
  • Trouble shoot any deviations and co-ordinate with the EC, Demand Chain and Tooling management teams to implement the corrective actions required to eliminate the deviations.
  • Co-ordinate with various teams to implement any new equipment required as a part of new product industrialization.
  • Conduct product capability studies and correct if any deviations are noticed.
  • Establish the Pure cycle time of the process in line with the NBP inputs.
  • Co-ordinate with Industrial engineering to conduct time studies.
  • Co- Ordinate with Industrial engineering and develop/update the defined work for the channel where the product is being introduced.
  • Handover the Industrialized New parts to the Manufacturing team with the relevant documents.
  • Drive Quality Management systems such as ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, AAR standards & Customer specific requirements within the Manufacturing
  • Plan and execute actions to meeting the KPI’s pertaining to process Engineering.
  • Conduct L1 meetings within the process team.
  • Monitor and improve the performance of the process engineering team.
  • Monitor the performance of the various manufacturing process and plan and implement improvement actions.
  • Monitor and control the factory scrap.
  • Plan and run projects to reduce the scrap level.
  • Verify and certify the material scrap note, daily.
  • CFT member for customer complaint management process.
  • Evaluate and define the process flow for New products. (PFD) and control the circulation of the document.
  • Develop and maintain Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) for all the manufacturing processes. Conduct regular PFMEA review meetings to capture the risks and initial actions to mitigate the risks.
  • Issue and control process parameter sheets for all the process.
  • Define and monitor the performance of critical to process parameters.
  • Participate in ETO process and provide process inputs for new product costings.
  • Trouble shoot process deviations in the shop floor
  • Review scraped products on needs basis and device actions plans in case of any possible recovery.
  • Conduct trials on the channels to validate process changes.
  • Validate new processes.
  • Monitor the daily activities of the process engineers deployed in the shift.
  • Ensure the communication flow happens between the shifts with regards to process issues.
